29th Myanmar Military Medical Conference Successfully Concluded

 

The 29th Myanmar Military Medical Conference was held from 9 to 11 May and the closing ceremony was simultaneously held at No (2) Defence Services General Hospital (1,000 bedded) in Nay Pyi Taw and Defence Services Orthopaedic Hospital (500 bedded) in Mingaladon township of Yangon region through online hybrid system. The Chairman of the Tatmadaw Medical Research and Development Committee, Senior Military Officers, specialists, international medical experts, retired senior officers and invitees participated in the conference.

  • On 9 May 2022, symposium of the conference, eight symposia and three special talks were discussed. A total of 20 research papers were also submitted at the conference. A total of 386 people attended the conference whereas other 547 people joined it through online system. 
  • On 10 May 2022, major symposium, clinical session, eight symposia, Building Shared Vision in Myanmar Military Medical Practice and three special talks were discussed. In addition, a total of 45 research papers were submitted at the conference. A total of 337 people attended the conference whereas other 508 people joined it through online system. 
  • On 11 May, (Clinicopathological Conference, 7 special talks, debate session and 9 symposia were discussed. In addition, a total of 11 papers were also submitted at the conference. A total of 517 people attended the conference whereas other 728 people joined it through online system. 
  • From 9 to 11 May, symposium of the conference, clinicopathological conference, major symposium, clinical session, debate session, 25 symposia, Building Shared Vision in Myanmar Military Medical Practice and 13 special talks were discussed at the conference. In addition, a total of 76 research papers were also submitted.

During the closing ceremony, Awards Selection Committee announced the first, second and third award-winners of the best research paper and poster as well as the winners of Young Researcher Award on best research paper and poster. It is reported that the 29th Myanmar Military Medical Conference was successfully concluded following the closing remark of the Chairman of the Tatmadaw Medical Research and Development Committee.
