Political extremists of PDF terrorists are threatening local people who do not support them in some villages with the intent to create public panic, to support their terrorist acts and also to forcibly collect extortion money from the people. Moreover, they are committing the inhumane crimes of terrorism such as killing innocent people by accusing them of “informer, dalan” as well as bombing attacks using IEDs, arson attacks and shootings on non-military targets of residential houses in community areas.
- On 30 April, PDF terrorists abducted 15 people (eight men and seven women) living in Padatthai village of Myinmu township of Sagaing region. They tortured the innocent people by tying their bodies with ropes and accusing them of “informer, dalan” outside the cemetery of the village. They, then, shot eight men and two women to death and burnt their bodies. They released the rest of the five women.
- On 1 May, PDF terrorists also abducted 13 people including eight men and five women living in Kinmoontaw village of ChaungU township of Sagaing region who were leaving for Amyint village for shopping. They, then, shot the people to death by accusing them of “informer, dalan” and abandoned their bodies in the creek.
- On 1 May, PDF terrorists fired improvised mortar on residential houses in Sitharsanpya village of Yesagyo township. The shell exploded on the house of U Thein Shwe leaving his sister, Daw San Shwe of 46 and his six-year-old son, Maung Kaung Khant Thu dead with open-chest wounds. Moreover, Ma Thuzar Oo of 12, daughter of U Thein Shwe and his wife Daw Khin Aye Mar of 30, got gunshot wounds and were sent to public hospital in Pakokku township for treatment.
It is reported that the entire people are disgusted by the PDF terrorists who brutally killed the innocent people in the above-mentioned incidents and willing the security members to arrest and take action against them. Local military columns joining hands together with Myanmar Police Force are taking necessary measures as per security-related procedures to arrest the perpetrators as soon as possible.
