A ceremony to consecrate the ground for Sasana Beikman Aggadhipati Visumgama ordination hall as Simasammuti ordination hall was held in conjunction with the successful celebration of the ceremony in the precinct of Maravijaya Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory in the morning of 27 April. The ceremony was graced by 54 members of the Sangha, including Presiding Nayaka of Paukmyaing Monastery in Lewe, the Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, council members and Union level heads and officials.
Members of the Sangha consecrated the celebration of successful ceremony of Sasana Beikman Aggadhipati Visumgama ordination hall as Simasammuti ordination hall according to the Vinaya rules. After the ceremony, the Chairman of the SAC, council members, the secretary of the SAC, the joint secretary, Union ministers and well-wishers presented offertories to members of the Sangha.
Afterwards, the Chairman of the SAC Prime Minister then viewed the scale model of the Sasana Beikman Aggadhipati Visumgama ordination hall and fulfilled the needs presented by officials.
The Sasana Beikman Aggadhipati Visumgama ordination hall project will be consecrated with the advice of venerable Sayadaws and the guidance of the Chairman of the SAC Prime Minister. The ordination hall will be 208 feet long and 205 feet wide, with a stand for 180 members of the Sangha and 1,890 laypersons capacity on the hall and both side rows. It will be the largest ordination hall in Myanmar.
