The government is conducting necessary investigations and security measures day and night to identify and arrest the CRPH, NUG and PDF terrorist groups who are committing assassination of innocent civilians and setting off explosives on public-owned buildings for no reason, aiming to jeopardize the administrative mechanism of the State and cause public panic. In this regard, security force members arrested 13 terrorists (11 males and two females) in Mandalay regions from 8 to 20 April 2022, along with four KA-25 rifles, one pistol gun, two homemade guns, 16 assorted magazines, 727 assorted bullets, six hand-grenades, 25 energa grenades, one round of 107mm rocket launcher, 10 assorted homemade mines, 375 detonators, six bullet-proof vests, three pairs of camouflage uniform, 22 keypad phones, 27 bags of medical items and other related explosives.
Under the guidance of NUG terrorist group, the movements of the arrested terrorists were as follows:
- In connection with the offender Than Myat Soe (aka) MonTine (still at large), Kyaw Swar Linn (aka) Tar Yar, Aung Kyaw Moe (aka) Moe Moe, Wutyi Cho and Shikha (aka) Shika, Aye Nguwar Khaing (aka) Ma Tauk received the explosive training for one month in the TNLA Brigade (2)-controlled area near Pan Oo Lay village in Kyaukme township in January 2022. Then, Mone Tine sent them back to Mandalay and ordered them to carry out violent bomb attacks in Mandalay swith the support of arms/ammunition and explosives.
- Sithu (aka) Seik Gyi, Aung Kyaw Moe (aka) Moe Moe, Tun Lin (aka) Par Pu, Kyaw Swar Linn (aka) Tar Yar, Wutyi Cho conducted the rehearsal to rob the ‘ Zwe Htet’ Jewellery Shop in Mandalay City in the duck enclosure owned by the offender Win Bo (still at large) who lives in Nanda Myout village of Pathein Gyi township in Mandalay region. They all were arrested while they were planning to make destructive acts in Mandalay city at the opening day of Yadanarbon Park and Thingyan holidays with the lead of Shikha (aka) Shika (still at large) and Aye Ngu War Khaing (aka) Ma Tauk (still at large), according to the confessions of the offenders arrested.
- 27 bags of medical items were to send to the offender Than Myat Soe (aka) Mone Tine (still at large) who now has arrived at the Brigade (2) area of TNLA which is operating in Kyaukme township, Northern Shan state.
Measures will be continued to take effective legal actions under the law against the arrested offenders. The entire people are urged to take part in combating the terrorists, and requested to report secretly to the relevant authorities if they knew the information about the offenders involved in the acts of terrorism and the related offenders who are supporting behind. It is reported that those who provide secretly the information about terrorists and help arrest the terrorists will be presented cash awards.
