AstraZeneca Vaccines Donated by Malaysia Arrived at Yangon International Airport

500,000 doses of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines donated by Malaysian government for COVID-19 prevention and control activities arrived at Yangon International Airport from Kuala Lumpur International Airport on 20 April. The vaccines were handed over and received by relevant officials.

The vaccines will be inoculated to the target groups in regions and states at the public hospitals and vaccination sites as per National Deployment Plan.

The Ministry of Health received a total of 45.7 million of COVID-19 vaccines purchased from abroad (15.4 million doses of Covishield, 26.7 million doses of Sinopharm, three million doses of Sinovac, 0.6 million doses of Sputnik-V) and a total of 20.4 million doses as donations (2.6 million doses of Covishield, 3.5 million doses of Sinopharm, 9.2 million doses of Sinovac, 3.2 million doses of Covaxin, 1.5 million doses of AstraZeneca and 0.4 million doses of Sputnik-V), totaling 66.1 million doses.
