UEC Chairman U Thein Soe Receives Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Chen Hai

The Union Election Commission Chairman U Thein Soe received the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Chen Hai in the guest hall of the Union Election Commission in Nay Pyi Taw on 19 April.

During the meeting, the Chinese ambassador to Myanmar raised the questions on the ongoing work plans being conducted in line with the five-point road map of the State Administration Council, the future work plans and the inspections of political parties. The UEC chairman frankly discussed the ongoing commission’s activities, the amendment of laws and rules to organize the election, the ongoing activities on compiling voter lists, the inspections of political parties and the friendly cooperation to be made between China and Myanmar.  

It is reported that the meeting was attended by the UEC members and the officials of UEC office.
