Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing Makes an Address at Training Coordination Meeting of Academies and Training Schools in Pyin Oo Lwin Station

The training coordination meeting of academies and training school in Pyin Oo Lwin Station was held at the meeting hall of the Tatmadaw Guest House on 18 April. The Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing gave necessary instructions at the meeting as follows:

  • As training is essential to improve capabilities for every armed forces, a competent and qualified armed forces has to be built through training.
  • In accordance with the training motto “study, undergo training and observe disciplines”, observing what one has been trained can be regarded as the upgrading of the skills of oneself and one’s unit. 
  • Every personnel has been provided with basic military training to one-step higher training based on their positions assigned.
  • Instructors must be qualified and are required to study individually for having the skills that make trainees understand.
  • As failure to train personnel properly can lead to great losses for the country, personnel must be trained properly.
  • As it is necessary to give training to personnel physically and mentally, well-nourished food is to be provided to them so that each soldier will be able to build a physically fit soldier. 
  • As training can nurture qualified officers and other ranks, it is vital for respective training schools to place emphasis on training properly.
  • The military science is for self-defence and the job relating skill is to work better and easier in working environment.
  • Since women officers and other ranks are performing their duties in each Corps, it is necessary to teach them with the spirit of brother and sister; take care of each other with mutual respect and improve the quality of women soldiers.     

The commandants of training schools in Pyin Oo Lwin Station and the Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye reported to the Senior General on implementation of training measures. The SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services gave necessary instructions on the reports and fulfilled their needs.

     Later, the Senior General met training students of diploma course on law at the Defence Services Administration School in Pyin Oo Lwin Station and gave a   speech to them as follows:

  • As we are moving forward to multi-party democracy and establishing a democratic administration, it is needed to be more aware of and abide by the law.
  • Law comes from the discipline of living and working in line with the code of conduct. Only if the essence and basis of the law are understood, it can ensure compliance with the law. Therefore, the students are required to study law-related subjects until they actually complete the study.
  • As any matter is handled in accordance with the law in international arena, the law is worth to be known compulsorily.
  • As law helps boost our administrative abilities, the course students are to share the knowledge on law to their comrades when they have completed the course.  

Then, the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and party inspected books and papers on law supporting the course and libraries.
