The 1383 ME Myanmar Traditional Maha Thingyan Festival was celebrated at regional military commands of respective regions and states from 13 to 16 April with the presence of members of the State Administration Council, Chief Ministers of respective regions and states, Commanders of respective regional military commands, and officers, other ranks and their family members, and choral (Yein) dance troupes of the military commands.
The opening ceremonies of water-splashing pandals were held at respective military commands on the first day of Thingyan (Akyo Day) and then water festivals were celebrated on second, third and last days of Thingyan (Akya, Akyat, and Atet Days). The officers, other ranks and their family members of relevant military commands happily participated in the event. Moreover, the events were celebrated with local people with performances of choral (Yein) dance troupes, Maha Thingyan festival refreshments (Studita), and nirvana market (naikban zay).
The Chief Ministers of respective regions and states, Commanders of relevant military commands and party visited water-splashing pandals of the military commands, and happily enjoyed the event together with officers and their family members, and presented honorary cash rewards to choral (Yein) dance troupes.
