Opening Ceremony of Yadanabon Garden Held

Under the guidance of the Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Prime Minister Senior General Maha Thray Sithu Min Aung Hlaing, the Yadanabon garden had been built starting from 2 October 2021 for the public to take relaxation in peaceful manner and have been finished on 9 April 2022. The opening ceremony of Yadanabon Garden was successfully held at the garden located between wall and moat of Mandalay Royal Palace on the first day of Thingyan on 13 April.

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism, Mandalay region Chief Minister, Commander of Central Command and officials cut the ribbon to open the garden and then Chief Minister pressed the ceremonial button to open the commemorative plaque.

Afterwards, the officials exchanged the souvenirs in the commemoration of the opening ceremony of Mandalay Yadanabon Garden, and closed the events after watching demonstrations of the boat of Yadanabon era on the surface of the Mandalay Royal Palace’s moat, decorated bullock-cart and singings and dances together with Myanmar Traditional Orchestra.

The Yadanabon Garden was built between wall of the Mandalay Royal Palace with the beautiful turret and moat of the Palace. It is reported that the Yadanabon Garden Project was started for the public to take relaxation and make physical exercises around the moat and wall of Mandalay Royal Palace, and locals and foreigners to study the Myanma Ancient Cultural Heritages.
