Vice-Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win Meets Officers, other Ranks and Families of Nawngwoe, Kengkham, Mongpying and Taunggyi Stations

Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, accompanied by senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air), visited local battalions of Nawngwoe, Kengkham, Mongpying and Taunggyi stations on 7 April and met officers, other ranks, and family members separately of these stations. During the meetings, the Vice-Senior General stressed the following points:

  • Military personnel are the persons receiving salaries and rations provided by the State. So, they must be loyal to the State and citizens in accord with the four oaths.
  • Officials must fulfil the requirements, including the health and education sectors of Tatmadaw members and families. If so, the Tatmadaw members can fully serve the security and military operation duties with no need to consider the affairs of their families.
  • The “Pankhin” project is being implemented to ensure correct household lists and issue Citizenship Scrutiny Cards to all eligible citizens so that a free and fair election can be held in 2023. So, region-wise cooperation is necessary.
  • Based on the country’s history and geographical conditions, Myanmar strictly upholds “independent, active and nonaligned” foreign policy. It could successfully overcome political pressures on the policy.
  • Some powerful countries and terrorist groups in the country applied various means to stop the government machinery. But their acts do not go well as expected. In this regard, they are trying to break up the Tatmadaw that is the strongest institution of the nation throughout the successive periods. As there may be attempts to sow seeds of mistrust, soldiers and their families must live in unity through weal and woe, while raising their family spirit of mutual trust, respect and reliance.

After the meetings, the Vice-Chairman of SAC Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win provided foodstuff and cash assistance to officers, other ranks, and their family members of respective military stations through Commander of Eastern Command and officials.

  • The Vice-Chairman of SAC Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, accompanied by senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air), visited local battalions of Nawngwoe, Kengkham, Mongpying and Taunggyi stations and met officers, other ranks, and family members separately of these stations.
