Union Minister for Defence, Union Minister for Planning and Finance, Union Minister for Education and Union Minister for Construction received H.E. Mr. Vinay Kumar, Indian Ambassador to Myanmar separately on 7 April. During the meeting, they discussed the following matters:
- In the meeting with the member of the SAC Union Minister for Defence General Mya Tun Oo, they cordially exchanged views on matters relating to the enhancement of Defence cooperation between Myanmar and India and further enhancing collaboration in other sectors and regional economic issues.
- In the meeting with Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein, they cordially exchanged views on on financial cooperation between the two countries, the development of projects funded by Indian loans, the possible situation of the rupee/ kyat to be used in trade between the two countries and what can be carried out in the future.
- In the meeting with Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe, they cordially exchanged views on matters relating to the enhancement for the quality of the teacher in Basic Education, Higher Education and Teaching Science Sectors, cooperation for the research, promoting to invite the teachers and students for the scholarship, curriculum drawing courses, science and technology courses, English teaching courses, and cooperation in the respective economic and management sectors.
- In the meeting with Union Minister for Construction U Shwe Lay, they cordially exchanged views on the current development of transportation sectors between Myanmar and India, difficulties and further implementation process, upgrade of Yargyi-Kalay Wa road as the two-lane road with the assistance of India, upgrade of Paletwa-Zoranpu road, plans of the maintenance tasks for 69 bridges on Kalaywa-Kyikone-Tamu road, and construction of inspection gate for all sides at Tamu border area.
The meetings were attended by the officials from Myanmar and the officials from the India Embassy to Myanmar.
