Aiming at causing casualties to innocent travelers; cutting out road and transport network; and jeopardizing rule of law, extreme terrorists are launching IED attacks on roads, streets and departmental offices.
A ‘Honda Fit’ car carrying seven family members including U Soe Yar Zar of 29, residents of Ahtat Sathar village of Mingin township in Sagaing region, left Mingin for Kalay township on 5 April. An explosion occurred near Thaegyan village of Kalaywa township where the car drove over a homemade mine planted by PDF terrorists. Due to the mine explosion, five people including U Soe Yar Zar were killed with shrapnel wounds and another male was injured. He was transported to Kalay public hospital and a female named Ma Moe Sandar Myint has been missing. The car was reportedly destroyed by the mine explosion.
It is reported that security forces members are conducting an investigation to arrest and take legal actions against the terrorists who made an IED attack on innocent travelers.
