Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accepted the credentials of Mr Vinay Kumar, the newly-accredited Ambassador of India to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, at the Credentials Hall of the Office of the State Administration Council Chairman, Nay Pyi Taw, on 6 April.
Then, they cordially discussed the excellent history of diplomatic relations between the two countries, enhancement of friendship, stability, peace and development of border areas, trade promotion, further cooperation in various sectors of both countries and political changes in Myanmar.
Present on occasion were SAC Joint Secretary, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs and Director-General of the Protocol Department. It is reported that the Indian Ambassador was accompanied by Deputy Chief of Mission and Defence Attaché.
