The Government is making utmost efforts to enhance education sector that plays a major role in State’s development and to ensure the better future of the youths. PDF terrorists, with the intent to destroy the future lives of the youths as well as to disrupt the future development of the country, are blowing up and burning down the education infrastructures such as schools and education offices, and also brutally killing teachers and education staff.
On 5 April, township education officer, Daw Tin Tin Yi of 58, living in (12) ward, in Pakokku township of Magway region was shot to death on the way to her office riding a motorbike by two male terrorists who followed her. The terrorists riding a motorbike shot her in front of the “May Myanmar” store located on Ayeyawun road, and they then ran away. According to the information tip, security personnel arrived at the scene and found her dead beside her Super Cub motorcycle with a bullet wound in her left arm and another bullet wound in her left chest. Three empty bullets marked with A USA Auto 380 were found and confiscated near her body.
The dead body was sent to the Pakokku district public hospital, and security force members are conducting necessary investigations to take action against the perpetrators in the above-mentioned incident.
