The State Administration Council has implemented the Pankhin Project since 3 May 2021. Under the project, measures are underway to issue citizenship identification cards to over 3.8 million voters.
Under the Pankhin project in respective regions and states, a total of 421,614 household lists and a total of 3,340,130 Citizenship Scrutiny Card-CSCs (holding cards) have been granted to people from 3 May 2021 to 31 March 2022.
The Magway region is designated to issue 86,790 CSCs in April 2022 under the project and 107,821 CSCs had been issued to people, accounting for 124.3 percent and it became the sixth region in which the project was completed more than full percent of designated Pankhin project. The officials were granted one-step promotion to departmental personnel from the region.
The meeting on resumption of Online e-Visa service was held on 4 April. During the meeting, the Union Minister U Khin Yi talked about the supplement to requirement for the applications of Business Visa of Online e-Visa service which has been resumed since 1 April and the matters which are going to do on 17 April, when International Airlines will commence, including the notice announced to all foreign travelers.
As per the guidance of the State Administration Council, the Ministry of Immigration and Population is reportedly cooperating with relevant administrative bodies of respective regions/ states to continue the works of granting household lists and identity cards to people for ensuring the successful implementation of the Pankhin Project.
