Press Release on Termination of Citizenship

The State Administration Council issued a press release describing that the following individuals who violated the existing laws of the State and left the country illegally were found to be committing acts that could harm the interests of Myanmar and their citizenships are terminated.

  1. The following individuals who violated the existing laws of the State and left the country illegally were found to be committing acts that could harm the interests of Myanmar. So, their citizenship was terminated under Section 16 of the 1982 Myanmar Citizenship Law in line with the authority exercised under section 68 by the Central Body established under Section 67 of the 1982 Myanmar Citizenship Law.

(a) Maung Maung Latt (son of U Tun Tin)

(b) Kyaw Moe Tun (son of U Tun Yee)

(c) Aung Kyaw Naing (son of U Ba Thin)

(d) Mya Mya Kyi (daughter of U Guman Singh)

(e) Kyaw Swa Min (son of U Kyaw Min)

(f) Thet Htar Mya Yi San (daughter of U Mya Ngwe)

(g) Su Su Aung (daughter of U Hla Aung)

(h) Kyaw Swa Tun (son of U Wong Do Lyan)

(i) Kyu Kyu Myint (daughter of U Phone Myint)

(j) Myat Thwe Aung (daughter of U Tin Zaw)

(k) Yamin Yu (daughter of U Thein Tan)

(l) Ye Khaung (son of U Kyaw Swa Min)

(m) Han Htoo Lwin (aka) Kyar Pauk (son of U Maung Maung Lwin (aka) Ringo)

(n) May Oo (aka) Hein Min Oo (son of U Thaung Myint)

(o) Nyi Nyi (Tharawun – Pyay) (son of U Khin Zaw)

(p) Han Lin (aka) Phyo Han Kyaw (son of U Yu Pa)

2. It is reported that similar perpetrators will be identified and prosecuted.

  • As Maung Maung Latt, Kyaw Moe Tun, Aung Kyaw Naing, Mya Mya Kyi, Kyaw Swa Min, Thet Htar Mya Yi San, Su Su Aung, Kyaw Swa Tun, Kyu Kyu Myint, Myat Thwe Aung, Yamin Yu, Ye Khaung,  Han Htoo Lwin, May Oo, Nyi Nyi, Han Lin, Daung who violated the existing law of the State and left the country illegally were found to be committing acts that could harm the interests of Myanmar, their citizenships are terminated.
