Measures to Grant Household Lists and Citizenship Scrutiny Cards to Citizens Continued under Pankhin Project

The State Administration Council has implemented the Pankhin Project since 3 May 2021. Under the project, measures are being taken to issue citizenship identification cards for over 3.8 million people.

Under the Pankhin project for respective regions and states, a total of 407,261 household lists and a total of 3,266,684 CSCs (holding cards) have been granted to peoplefrom 3 May 2021 to 18 March 2022.

The Tanintharyi region is designated to issue 115,897 CSCs under the Pankhin project and 140,398 CSCs had been issued to people, accounting for 121.14 percent and the project in the area could be completed more than full percent of designated Pankhin project. The officials granted one-step promotion to departmental personnel from the region.

As per the guidance of the State Administration Council, the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population is reportedly cooperating with relevant administrative bodies of respective regions/ states to continue the works of granting household lists and identity cards to people for ensuring the successful implementation of the Pankhin Project.
