Vice-Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win met officers, other ranks and families of Kalaw Station at the station hall in Kalaw of Southern Shan State on 19 March. The Vice-Chairman of State Administration Council said the following points:
- The SAC could overcome all the challenges and difficulties with the united efforts of people who love peace and stability, loyal civil servants and security members during over one year emergency period.
- Regarding international relations, the country firmly stands on Our Three Main National Causes while protecting the nation’s sovereignty through practising independent, active and non-aligned foreign policy aimed at world peace and friendly relations with nations and upholding the principles of peaceful coexistence among nations.
- On the other hand, some officers and other ranks, who had deserted the Tatmadaw with fear of punishment for their wrong doings, were flattered as democracy heroes via media means, spreading propagandas and doing incitement to disintegration of the Tatmadaw.
- In accord with its motto “We will always be united no matter who is divided”, the Tatmadaw remains compact and united in the midst of the attempts to sow seeds of mistrust.
- Officials at all levels should fulfill the needs of food, cloth and shelter, transport, health and education and transport of soldiers and their families so that they could do their job in peace of mind and fully serve national cause.
After the meet, the Vice-Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) and party presented foodstuff and cash assistance and cordially conversed with them.
