The 12th ASEAN Military Operation Meeting (12thAMOM) was organized in Ministry of National Defense meeting hall at Phnom Penh of Cambodia on 15 March. The Myanmar Tatmadaw delegation led by Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, the Chief of Military Operations from the respective ASEAN member countries and officials attended the event.
First, Maj-Gen Pen Sokrethvithyea of the host country, Cambodia, delivered the opening speech for the 12thAMOM. Then, the leaders discussed the theme of the topic of “Solidarity for Harmonized Security”.
Afterwards, they discussed the ASEAN Militaries’ two-year Work Plan (2022-2024) including other matters. Then, the chairman of the 12thAMOM delivered closing remark and transferred the chairmanship of the 13rdAMOM to Indonesia. It is reported that the representative of the Indonesian armed forces made an address on the chairmanship of the 13rdAMOM and the event was successfully concluded.
