Opening Ceremony of New Building of Three-Storey Maternity and Newborn Baby Ward of Public Hospital in Magway Held to Hail 77th Anniversary Armed Forces Day

In hailing the 77th Anniversary Armed Forces Day, a new building of three-storey maternity and newborn baby ward was ceremonially opened in Magway Region on 12 March. Secretary of the State Administration Council Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe, Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win, Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, the Ministers of Magway region government and officials, and the invited departmental guests attended the opening ceremony.

First, the Union minister, the Magway Region chief minister, and Director-General of Department of Medical Services Dr Myat Wunna Soe cut the ribbon to open the new three-storey maternity and newborn baby ward, and the Secretary of State Administration Council pressed the button to unveil the signboard of the new three-storey maternity and newborn baby ward. After that, a group photo was taken to commemorate the opening ceremony and dignitaries viewed around the emergency room, the maternity care unit, the operation room, the post-operative room, neonatal intensive care unit, oxygen plant and water purifiers.

Next, the Secretary of State Administration Council gave an opening speech and presented K 2.5 million and fruit gift baskets for the hospital staff. Then the Head of   Magway Region Medical Services Department and the Medical Superintendent returned gifts to mark the opening of the Maternity and Newborn Baby Ward.
