Opening Ceremony of Implementation of Basic Census Verification for Correct Voter Registration Held

The opening event of implementation of basic census verification for correct voter registration which is a pilot project for the completion of the voter list under the auspices of the Union Election Commission was held in Ahlone township of Yangon region on 10 March.

Officials from Union Election Commission and region / district / township Sub Election Commission offices; four districts of Yangon region; District Immigration and Population office; responsible staff from sub Election Commission offices in 45 townships attended the event. It is learnt that basic census and ground census checks will be carried out in 11 wards of Ahlone township, Western District of Yangon from 10 to 12 March.
