The security force members are conducting necessary investigations on day and night to arrest the CRPH, NUG and PDF terrorist members who had been declared as terrorist groups by the State, and to prevent their movements in the townships and villages. According to the information of conscientious people, the security force members arrested seven male offenders including SharHtet Aung, 24, along with one pistol, two magazines of it, nine rounds of 9 mm bullet,22 homemade bombs, soft ignition (approximately 5 Visses), eight detonators, 23 various kinds of phone used in the explosion of time bomb and related explosive devices on 6 March 2022.
The movements of the arrested offenders are as follows:
- Shar Htet Aung, Thant Sin Aung, Sai San (aka) Ashay Gyi and Thet Myo Htike attended the terrorist explosive course in KNLA Brigade (6) area from 20 September 2020 to 11 November 2020,conducted by Saw Nyein Chan Win (still at large) who is in-charge of the youth of the NLD party in Hpa-An township and Mahn Aung Naing Kyi (still at large) who is a member of information team of the NLD party in Yangon.
- On 7 November 2021, Mahan Aung Naing Kyi intentionally organized the UG-47 terrorist group with 47 trainees including Shar Htet Aung, That Myo Htike, Dain Daung (still at large) and Thone Nya (still at large) to conduct sabotages and civil wars in Yangon region.
- The one seized pistol was bought by Mahn Aung Naing Kyi to conduct acts of terrorism by the UG-47 terrorist members in Yangon, and this pistol was issued from Ko Myo (aka) Soun Ye` (still at large) whenever they started each mission. Moreover, Kyaw Zaw bought the necessary explosive items and the seized explosive items were received from Ko Myo (aka) Soun Ye`.
According to the confessions of the arrested offenders and their interrogation results,
- Mahn Aung Naing Kyi supported K1 million in total to SharHtet Aung with the rate of K100,000 for conducting terrorist bombing and assassination for one time. Moreover, it is found out that Kyaw Min Aung also supported K200,000 to Shar Htet Aung.
- The UG-47 terrorist group committed seven terrorist bombings and three assassinations in public areas in order to disrupt the State’s administrative mechanisms and threaten the innocent civilians.
- It is found out that Mahn Aung Naing Kyi, a member of information team of the NLD party in Yangon and Saw Nyein Chan, in-charge of the youth of the NLD party in Hpa-An township instructed them behind to commit such acts of terrorism.
Regarding the above mentioned incident, it is reported that measure will be continued to take effective action under the law against the arrested offenders. The entire people are urged to stop the acts of terrorism conducted by the terrorists, and requested to report secretly to the relevant authorities if they knew the information about their hideouts and movements in order to arrest the related offenders who were participating in the acts of terrorism and supporting behind.
- Seven members of the UG-47 terrorist group conducting acts of terrorism in Yangon region were arrested along with weapons and ammunition.
