The Union Minister for Electricity and Energy, the Ayeyawady region government member Minister for natural resources and departmental officials inspected the exploration condition of new wells at the Nyaung Done – Maubin oil and gas field.
The Nyaung Done-Maubin oil and gas field produces 70 barrels of condensate and 22.5 million cubic feet of gas per day. The gas produced from the field is being distributed to fertilizer factories (Myaungdakar, Kangyidaunt), Liquefied Petroleum Gas Factory (Nyaung Done), factories and industries in Yangon region and CNG-powered vehicles for public transportation.
