Dr Myint Naing, during his tenure as the Chief Minister of the Sagaing Region Government, was sentenced to 21 years in prison(three years for each case) with labourfor seven criminal cases (from 1/2021 to 7/2021) under Section 55 of the Anti-Corruption Law in the Sagaing Region High Court for making the state loss of benefits as 66 companies with a tender value of over K20,000 million, destroying the reports of the facts of the tender by the investigation team not to file against him under Anti-Corruption Law, causing the State loss of benefits K867 million byusing hispermission to a person to use 5.78 acres of State-owned land in Monywa townshipafter receiving bribes,asking for a Hijet vehicle worth K11 million from a company owner who had businesses in Monywa, causing the losses 2.85 acres of state-owned land to be built the house without permitting the Central Committee on Management of Fallow Lands and Virgin Lands, and causing the loss of State’s fund more than K2,900 million in revenuebecause he failed to follow and supervise the rules and regulations of the Myanmar Mining Law and Rules.
As the Kayah State former chief minister U L PhaungSho and municipal and social affairs former minister U Aung KyawHtay were transferred a government-owned land plot (authorized by the government) worth more than K65 million in 2017 with the reason of achieving religious title conferred by the government and got the land back via donation, Kayah State former chief minister received K19.2 million from the winning company of the tenders after receiving bribes,used more than K234 million for his interests by receiving from the rental of heavy machinery vehicles without registering in the departmental financial data, and used his permission to leaseKayah State Day Ground, where Kayah State Day celebrated, to a company without inviting tender, they were opened file and the complaints are being inspected at the LoikawMyoma police station in Kayah state under Section 55 of the Anti-Corruption Law on 27 February.
