PDF Terrorists Brutally Kill a Princinpal, and Launch Bombing Attack on Department of Immigration

The PDF terrorists are making assassinations on teachers who are honestly performing their duties as good civil servants and who do not join the CDM campaign, and launchingbombing attacks on government buildings in Magway and Yangon regions on 22 February as follows:

  • While Daw Lae Lae living in Sulaekone village, a principal of Basic Education Sub-high School in Tamakoutvillage of Seikphyu township in Magway region is returning to the home with a motorcycle driven by her father after the teaching. At that time, three male PDF terrorists stopped a motorcycle on the way back to the home and stabbed her father leaving injuries and her to death, and then fled after robbing the motorcycle.
  • The PDF terrorists launched bombing attack using IEDs in the compound of the sub-department of entry/re-entry and stay extension of the department of foreigners affairs under the Department of Immigration in No (4) ward of Kyauktada township in Yangon region.
  • In the incident, Daw Aye KhaingOhn, 54, assistant director residing in Yankin township, Daw Moe MoeMyint, 50, staff officer in Inseintownship and Daw Cho Cho Mar, 45, staff officer in Pabedan township were injured due to the mine blasts.

The PDF terrorists are committing bombing attacks using IEDs and small arms fire on non-military targets which are educational offices and schools, State-owned buildings as well as conducting assassinations and terror acts on teachers. Therefore, people across the country want international community to denounce their terrorist acts.

It is reported that security forces members continue necessary measures to identify and arrest the terrorists who committed acts of terrorism as soonest in line with procedures.

  • In the incident, one assistant director and two staff officers were injured due to the mine blasts.
