Decorated Floats Representing Union Territory and Regions/States Show Concludes Successfully and People Enjoy the Display with Interest

A total of 46 decorated floats representing Union Territory, Regions/States which were participating in the ceremony in commemoration of Diamond Jubilee Union Day are parked at the Tabaung ground in front of the Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw between 8 a.m to 8 p.m starting from 13 to 15 February. In the event, a total of 20 ethnic food shops sold ethnic traditional foods as follows:

· Students, government employees, and residents observed with interest the culture, traditions, living styles and local products of ethnic people displayed on the floats.

· As a special program, the ethnic food shops from respective regions and states were sold and these shops were thronged with visitors.

· On 13 February, the Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn and party enjoyed together with the people the performance of traditional dances. On 15 February, the Union Minister at the Union Government Office (2) U Chitt Naing gave presents to 108 members of the dance crew. 

Myanmar Police Force conducted   security measures together with Tatmadaw members to protect the visitors against any threats and Nay Pyi Taw Public Health  Department opened the healthcare booths to provide medical services for the visitors. It is reported that the show was being crowded with youths, government staff and families from ministries and local residents.
