Union Ministers U Wunna Maung Lwin and Lt-Gen Yar Pyae Received the Delegation Led by Indian Foreign Secretary

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin received the delegation led by H.E. Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of India at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 22 December. They cordially exchanged views on the matters pertaining to the promotion of the existing friendly bilateral relations, multi-sectoral cooperation through Kaladan Multi-modal Transit Transport Project and operationalization of Sittwe Seaport, upgrading of 69 bridges of Tamu-Kyi Gone-Kalewa road, trilateral highway project, Integrated Check Post (ICP) in Tamu, strengthening people-to-people contact as well as India’s assistance to Myanmar for prevention of COVID-19.

Union Minister Lt-Gen Yar Pyae received the delegation led by Indian Foreign Secretary H.E. Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla at the Union Government Office (1) in Nay Pyi Taw on 23 December. During the meeting, they discussed friendly relations between Myanmar and India, issues of bilateral cooperation, the issue of COVID-19 vaccination at the India-Myanmar border areas and the implementation of the Myanmar peace process.
