Than Oo living in Shwepyitha township, and Suyi Paing and Myint Zaw living in North Okkalapa township were convicted by military tribunal of Martial Law and sentenced to ‘life imprisonment’ under Sections 50 (J) of Counter Terrorism Law for contacting with and supporting associations declared as terrorist groups by the Announcement (2/2021) of Central Committee for Counter Terrorism; taking trainings in the areas of EAOs.
23 types of crimes to be adjudicated by Military Tribunal in the townships under Martial Law order has been released as an appendix and effective and prompt legal actions reportedly have been taken against those who committed the crimes.
