The National Solidarity and Peace Negotiation Committee held an informal meeting with the representatives of Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs) at the National Solidarity and Peace Negotiation Centre in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning of 13 February.
The meeting was attended by Member of the State Administration Council (SAC) Union Minister at the Union Government Office-1 Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peace Negotiation Committee Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and committee members, vice-chairmen, secretaries and central committee members of nine Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) signatories and non-NCA signatories and officials.
During the meeting, the SAC member chairman of the committee discussed the matters relating to the situation of inviting peace meeting to EAOs, the building of a Union based on democracy and federalism, stability, peace and development, matters of further negotiations between two sides, and the further peace issues. Then, the representatives of EAOs discussed their opinions freely.
In the afternoon, the committee separately met and discussed with each EAO about the matters of stability and peace in regions, development, health care and further peace process, and presented gifts.
