COVID-19 Prevention, Control, and Treatment Activities Continue in Respective Regions and States

COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities such as opening quarantine centres and vaccinating people against COVID-19 continue in respective regions and states.

  • Up to 10 February, 22.63 million people in total have been vaccinated against COVID-19. About 19.53 million people have received two-time full doses of the vaccine and 3.1 million people have received the first doses. 42.5 million people in total have been inoculated against COVID-19 in Myanmar.
  • A total of 328,230 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 booster doses in respective regions and states from 1 January to 10 February 2022.
  • Until 10 February 2022, there are a total of 348 SARS-CoV-2 Variant Omicron cases: 264 cases were detected from returnees from abroad and 84 cases were detected from people infected locally. The 264 Omicron cases are 244 Myanmar nationals and 20 foreigners.

The Ministry of Health is conducting COVID-19 tests regularly, 1,307 new cases of COVID-19 were found from testing a total of 24,311 samples and the infected rates are 5.38 percent on 10 February. Up to 10 February 2022, a total of 541,904 cases were found from testing a total of 6,619,542 samples and death toll reached 19,310.
