The Diamond Jubilee Shan State Day Ceremony was held at Awayya Hot-air Ballon Ground in Taunggyi on 7 February. State Administration Council members, Union Ministers, Shan state Chief Minister, winners of honour and excellent awards and officials attended the ceremony.
During the ceremony, SAC member U Sai Lone Hsai read out the message sent by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to the ceremony to mark the 75th anniversary of Shan state Day and Shan State Chief minister Dr Kyaw Tun delivered a speech.
The SAC members, Union Ministers, Shan state chief minister and officials presented the certificates of honour and excellent awards in management, security and the rule of law, agriculture, health, social and research sectors to the winners. Then, Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung donated 150 sets of solar panels to mark the 75th anniversary of Shan state Day.
Moreover, opening ceremony of Vegetable Festival to mark the Diamond Jubilee Shan State Day was held in Heho Inkhaung of Kalaw township. Union Ministers and chief minister handed over the bags of fertilizers to the farmers’ societies.
The SAC members, Union Ministers, chief minister and officials looked around the booths displayed by the Agriculture Department and inspected the processes of granting citizenship scrutiny cards by the Immigration and Population Ministry.
