People Peacefully Enjoying their Activities in Respective Regions and States

On 1 February, in the occasion of one year after the State Administration Council assumed the State responsibility, the so-called NUG, CRPH and PDF terrorist groups forced the people to participate in the “Silent Strike” by threatening the lives and properties of public through social networks. They made such move with an intent not to enjoy peaceful activities and to destroy the socio-economic of the public. Therefore, the responsible organizations and security force members accelerated the necessary security measures upon such actions as follows:

  • The freestyle invitational cycling sport competition of the Chief Minister’s cup of the Mandalay region government was held in front of the Mandalay City Development Committee located on 26 road between 71st and 72nd streets, and the athletes and local people enjoyed at the event.
  • The Shan state Chief Minister, Deputy Commander of Eastern Command and officials donated rice to the Sanghas from 17 monasteries in Taunggyi town at the downtown Dhamma Hall of Atulamarazein pagoda in Taunggyi township of Shan state (South).
  • The mass alms-giving donation ceremony for the Sanghas from the entire Rakhine state was held in the compound of Law Ka Nan Dar pagoda in Sittwe township. The Chief Minister of Rakhine state, Commander of Western Command and departmental officials, students and locals donated rice, offertories and cash for alms to the Sanghas.
  • The local people happily participated in the Marathon festival (male/female) which was celebrated in Bago region so as to welcome the 75th Anniversary of Diamond Jubilee Union Day.

On 1 February, it is reported that the pagodas, temples and monasteries, and other religious places were crowded with pilgrims in peace as well as markets, banks, hospitals, flights and maritime itineraries, and bus lines were operated as the normal conditions in respective regions and states.
