In the townships of respective regions and states, local people staged demonstrations to show support for the Tatmadaw and the State Administration Council assuming the State’s responsibilities in accord with the 2008 State Constitution. At the demonstration:
- The public demonstration to denounce the terrorists and show support for the SAC held in respective regions and states on 31 January: Myitkyina township of Kachin state; Kunlong and Laukkai townships of Shan state (North); Loilem and Nangseng townships of Shan state (South); five townships of Shan state (East); six townships of Mon state; Hlainbwe township of Kayin state; Mayangone and Kamayut townships of Yangon region; Kyaiklat township of Ayeyawady region; eight townships of Rakhine state; Patetwa township of Chin state, Monywa, Khande and Mawlaik townships of Sagaing region; 16 townships of Mandalay region; and five townships of Magwe region.
People participating in the demonstration shouted out the slogans holding the signboards such as ‘Do not want NUG, CRPH, and PDF terrorists’; ‘Oppose the acts of terrorism of NUG, CRPH and PDF’; ‘Non Disintegration of the Union-Our Cause’; ‘Do not want foreign interference in domestic issues’; ‘Oppose the PDF terrorists who undermined the State and killed the people’; ‘Annihilate the terrorist attacks of NUG and PDF’; ‘See deeply the terrorists attacks of NUG and PDF’; and ‘Immediately stop the terrorist attacks by NUG and PDF on people’.
