Myanmar-Thai Trade Value Reached US$ 1,500 Million within Four Months in 2021-2022 FY

Ministry of Economic and Trade stated that Myanmar-Thai trade value reached US$ 1,500 million via border trade posts within four months in 2021-2022 FY.

From 1 October 2021 to 21 January 2022:

  • Trade value reached US$ 32.165 million via Tachileik Border Trade Post.
  • Trade value reached US$ 758.249 million via Myawady Border Trade Post.
  • Trade value reached US$ 100.353 million via Kawthaung Border Trade Post.
  • Trade value reached US$ 42.046 million via Myeik Border Trade Post.
  • Trade value reached US$ 561.091 million via Htee Kee Border Trade Post.
  • Trade value reached US$ 5.366 million via Mawtaung Border Trade Post.
  • A total of trade value reached US$ 1,499.27 million, recording export value of US$ 970.736 million and import value of US$ 528.534 million.

          It is reported that Myanmar has been implementing the National Export Strategy 2020-2025 for the export development and the major sectors of priority includes agricultural products sector, consumer goods sector, textile and apparel sector, electrical machinery sector, fishery products sector, forestry products sector, digital products and services sector, logistics services sector,quality management sector and trade information services sector as well as innovation and entrepreneurship sector.

  • From 1 October 2021 to 21 January 2022, a total of trade value reached US$ 1,499.27 million, recording export value of US$ 970.736 million and import value of US$ 528.534 million.
  • Myanmar has been implementing the National Export Strategy (2020-2025) for the export development.
