According to a report stating that a truck was on fire on the Kawkareik-Myawady road in Kawkareik township of Kayin state, a combined team comprising security force members and fire-fighters with two fire-engines arrived at the scene and put out the fire on 27 January. The truck carrying detergent powder and assorted food stuffs was damaged in fire.
In the incident, a truck carrying varieties of goods, driven by Zaw Zaw Oo, 49, living in Thaegon village of Mandalay region, accompanied by his wife Daw Shan Ma, 30, left Myawady town along the Kawkareik-Myawady road. When the truck arrived the place where the incident occurred, it was halted by armed terrorists and they were forced to get off the vehicle. The terrorists then burned it down after pouring petroleum into the truck cabin. They, then, left for paddy fields on the left side of the road.
PDF terrorists are committing violence acts such as abduction of innocent civilians, brutal killings of people and burning innocent civilian- owned vehicles. Such motiveless disruptions and doings inflict damages on the local trade flow as well as the interests of common people.
Security forces continue further necessary tasks in line with security processes to arrest the terrorists.
