The 2ndASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting (2nd ADGMIN) hosted by Myanmar was held through videoconferencing from 27 to 28 January, and Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San served as alternate chair. During the meeting, the Ministers, Deputy Ministers, the ASEAN Secretary-General and officials discussed the following points:
- They exchanged views on matters related to the theme of the second meeting “Digital Transformation: the Engine for ASEAN Economic Recovery from COVID-19”.
- They conducted the discussions and approval to implement the projects of the ASEAN Digital Senior Officials’ Meeting-ADGSOM and the ASEAN Telecommunication Regulators’ Council Meeting-ATRC) in 2022.
- Moreover, they recorded the Nay Pyi Taw Declaration and approved for the Joint Media Statement of the Second ministers’ meeting.
The above meeting hosted by Myanmar is 2nd Ministers’ meeting. It is reported that a total of 76 representatives including Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San, Deputy Minister, permanent secretary, director general from Myanmar and ASEAN Digital Ministers, Deputy Ministers, and the ASEAN Secretary-General and officials joined the meeting.
