Confiscated Food Stuffs and Commodities to Support Terrorist Groups Provided for Residents

On 24 January, security forces seized 120 cases of hand-luggage, 1,950 packs of instant noodle, 120 sachets of instant cereal, 760 cases of canned meat, 550 bottles of cooking oil, 100 blankets and consumer goods such as chick peas, detergent powder and soap bars which were stored to support NUG, CRPH and PDF terrorists in a building of Bardo village in Loikaw township.

A combined team comprising military officials and departmental officials   provided food stuffs and commodities which were confiscated to local residents struggling to afford food, who were displaced by clashes in Kayah state and  returned to their respective places, at the Thiri Mingala Market (Southern Market) in Law Dhamma Ward of Loikaw Township.

On the distribution of seized items to local residents that were supportive of another way on the side for basic needs, two local people expressed their feeling that “We appreciate the state government’s efforts to contribute the items. We are very glad to see the stability in Loikaw township as before and the town is now crowded as the displaced persons are returning to Loikaw”.
