Granting Household Lists and Citizenship Scrutiny Cards to Citizens Under Pankhin Project

The State Administration Council has implemented the Pankhin Project since 3 May 2021. Under the project, measures are being taken to grant citizenship identification cards for over 3.8 million people.

Granting household lists and relevant citizenship scrutiny cards under Pankhin project in respective regions/states from 3 May 2021 to 21 January 2022 are as follows–

In January 2022, 9 out of 45 townships of Yangon region has fully completed as it was scheduled under Pankhin project and all of the townships of Bago region was also completed over 100 percent. Under the Pankhin project for respective regions and states, a total of 311,141 household lists and a total of 1,905,843 CSCs (holding cards) have been granted to people.

In line with the guidance of the chairman of the State Administration Council, for ensuring the successful implementation of the Pankhin Project, the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population is reportedly cooperating with relevant administrative bodies of respective regions/ states to continue the works of granting household lists and identity cards to people.

  • In January 2022, 9 out of 45 townships of Yangon region has fully completed as it was scheduled under Pankhin project and all of the townships of Bago region was also completed over 100 percent.
  • A total of 1,905,843 citizenship scrutiny cards (holding cards) and a total of 311,141 household lists were granted under Pankhin project in respective regions and states from 3 May 2021 to 21 January 2021.
