Local people fleeing from the battle areas due to the clashes in and around Loikaw township and villages nearby are now re-entering their respective native places as community peace and tranquility, now, have been restored.
As peace and tranquility have been restored around the area where clashes broke out between security forces and terrorists in Kayah state and the security forces have re-controlled the area since 22 January, 536 local residents returned to their respective homes. It is reported that markets have also reopened and returned to a normal condition as well as people are going to pagodas and other religious sites.
