Ceremony for full completing performance on Pan Khin project in nine townships of Yangon Region was held at the Mingalar Hall of Yangon Region Government on 22 January.
The Union Minister for Immigration and Population, Chief Minister of Yangon Region Government, Commander of Yangon Region Command and officials attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, the Union Minister U Khin Yi said:
- The ministry has implemented the Pan Khin project to ensure every eligible voter has a certificate of citizenship granted in law and cast votes in the upcoming elections as there were voter frauds in 2020 general election.
- Efforts are being made to meet the targeted issuance of CSC cards in states and regions in a designated period.
- As the designated processes for Pan Khin project, now, have been completed in nine out of 45 townships in Yangon region in nine-month period, this ceremony of honour on completion of works for Pan Khin project was held.
The Union Minister and party then awarded gifts and certificates to the officials from nine townships: Pazundaung, Kyauktada, pabedan, Latha, Lanmadaw, Ahlone, Dagon, Seikkyi Kanaungto and Coco Islands.
Afterwards, the Union Minister and party observed the registration work of personal data of people granted for CSC cards by using computers, the working progress to link the data sent from Nay Pyi Taw (Central Office) for implementing e-ID system, and made the coordination on the requirements for work.
