Graduation Ceremony of Myanmar Navy Junior Officer (Management) Course (81) and (Engineering) Course (55) Held

The passing-out parade of Myanmar Navy Junior Officer (Management) course (81) and Myanmar Navy Junior Officer (Engineering) course (55) was held at the parade ground of the Naval Training Command Headquarters in Thanlyin military station on 20 January. On behalf of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Zeya Kyaw Htin Moe Aung delivered a speech at the ceremony as follows:

  • “The Myanmar Navy is being intentionally organized first phase, second phase and third phase, and to have a Three-Dimensional Combat Ready Navy to defend the Exclusive Economic Zone of Myanmar territorial waters for the first phase with the purposes for the formation of the submarine fleet, building of warships and improvement of human resources. Moreover, several steps and sectors have been taken to prepare to be compatibility with the purposes”.
  • Myanmar Navy is targeting the four main sectors which are military, the rule of law, diplomacy and humanitarian aids in order to serve effectively visions and missions.
  • It should know and follow international maritime laws and local maritime laws in addition to the Law of Armed Conflicts and Rules of Engagement to serve the security of Myanmar territorial waters.
  • It is required to work together in building the Three-Dimensional Combat Ready Navy to protect the State security and defend the Exclusive Economic Zone of Myanmar territorial waters with the full comrade spirit.

The ceremony was attended by senior officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army), senior officers from Myanmar Navy, senior officers from Yangon and Thanlyin military stations and persons who were invited.
