Ceremony to Mark 70th Kayah State Day Held

The Ceremony to mark 70th Kayah State Day was held at the state hall in Loikaw town on 15 January. The event was attended by State Administration Council Members, Union Ministers, the Kayah state Chief Minister and state government members, commander of Eastern Command and members, departmental officials and local ethnic people.

At the ceremony, the leaders of nine different ethnic groups of Kayah took their positions and the participants saluted the State Flag. Then, the State Administration Council member Saw Daniel read out the 70th Kayah State Day Message sent by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

Kayah State Chief Minister awarded the Honorary Titles and Certificates of Honour for Outstanding recipients out of 53 who received awards in management, social, security and the rule of law sectors of Kayah State to mark the 70th Kayah State Day.

Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn donated 1,000 units of DVB-T2 Set Top Box for military units and government employees in Kayah state. Then, the SAC members and officials took commemorative photos with leaders of nine Kayah ethnic groups and cordially greeted the local ethnic people.
