Acting on the information tips provided by some locals, security forces raid the Yinkyin village monastery where terrorists are gathering to conduct sabotages in Yay-U township on 14 January. During the raid, the terrorists attempted to flee in disarray.
From the monastery they used to stay, security forces found and confiscated 20 homemade short guns, one 12 volt gun, one Energa grenade, 125 rounds of assorted ammunition, 10 homemade mines, two grenades, two walkie-talkie devices, two motorbikes, a car, other related items used in terrorist acts, rice bags and onion bags which were forcibly collected from local people.
The terrorist groups CRPH, NUG and so-called PDF terrorists are conducting terrorist attacks with the intent to deteriorate the peace, stability and rule of law in the country for their own interests on the pretext of politics. In order to support their terrorist acts, they attempt to import the necessary arms and ammunitions using various means and hide them in some monasteries inflicting damages to Buddha Sasana.
People are urged to secretly report the information of terrorists to the nearest security forces to contribute to the actions of relevant authorities to arrest them.
