MNDAA terrorists of insurgents waged battles in Lashio of Shan State (North) and launched electrically-initiated rocket attacks and drone attacks as well as shelled non-military targets of military hospitals, killing and injuring local residents, departmental personnel and families of security personnel. Terrorists then made forced arrest of patients. Again, MNDAA terrorists of insurgents launched electrically-initiated rocket attacks and drone attacks as well as shelled non-military targets of urban wards in Lashio, causing casualties and forcing other locals to displace from their homes temporarily.
As such inhumane and heinous terrorist acts that constitute war crime were unacceptable, 25 civil society organizations made statement to express protest and condemnation against MNDAA Terrorist group's attacks on 4 August. Again, Additional 11 civil society organizations: All Myanmar Theravada Buddhists Organization; Border and Hilly Region Sasana Nuggaha Association (Central); Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation, Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation; Myanmar Federation for People with Disabilities; Federation of Myanmar Gold Entrepreneurs Association (FMGEA); Myanmar Gems and Jewellery Entrepreneurs Association, Myanmar Federation of Mining Association; Myanmar Dental Council; Myanmar Maternal and Child Welfare Association and Myanmar Academy of Medical Science respectively issued statements on 5 August to express their protests and condemnation against the said-terrorist attacks. On 6 August, four other civil society organizations: Young Men’s Buddhist Association-YMBA (Kayin State); Myanmar Forest Products and Timber Merchants Association, Myanmar Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Manufacturer Association and Myanmar Chamber of Commerce for Pharmaceutical and Medical Device issued statements to express their protests and condemnation against the said-terrorist attacks, reports say.
