The MNDAA, AA, TNLA and their allies who are insurgents of terrorists launched reckless attack on No.9 Military Hospital (100-bed) in Lashio Township of Shan State (North) with the use of heavy weapons, rockets, drones as well as small arms on 2 August 2024. In the incident, non-military targets of doctors, nurses, staff, civilian patients, children, infants were shot to death brutally and some patients including pregnant women were abducted.
Such incident is an inhumane act of violence that intentionally violates the Counter-Terrorism Law, existing laws in the country, and basic human rights as outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It also suggests that relevant actions should be taken against the terrorists and their allies according to domestic laws by the government, and according to international law by other governments, which should also impose sanctions after designating them as terrorists.
In this regard, the representatives from 25 political parties, allegedly representing millions of Myanmar people, including monks, released a joint-statement strongly condemning the inhumane, violent, and brutal acts reportedly committed by the MNDAA, AA, TNLA and their allies, it is reported.
