Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung attended the opening ceremony of the 7th ASEAN-China Agricultural Cooperation Forum which was jointly organized by the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) and the Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on 16 September.
During the ceremony, Union Minister U Min Aung delivered opening speech that China should closely cooperate in promoting the regional food security value chains with the member countries as it is a great trade partner country of the ASEAN countries as well as a key partner of Myanmar.
After the ceremony, Union Minister had a detail discussion with Chinese MARA Minister H.E. Mr. Tang Renjian regarding the strengthening bilateral relations in agricultural sectors, exchange of seedlings and genes, joint-implementation of agricultural science research, and establishment of models of tropical crop fields.
