Silk Road from the Heart: Care for the Future Programme and Ceremony of Myanmar-China Friendly Culture and Education Exchange Held

In commemoration of the Myanmar-China friendly ties, the Silk Road from the Heart: Care for the Future Programme and Ceremony of Myanmar-China Friendly Culture and Education Exchange took place at Myanmar International Education Centre (MIEC) in Thingangyun Township of Yangon Region on 16 January.

During the event:

  • Secretary of China Foundation for Peace and Development Mr. Xu Jian Guo and Chairman of the Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central) Patron of Myanmar-China Cooperation Centre Union Auditor-General (Retired) U Tin Oo delivered opening speeches.
  • On behalf of the China Foundation for Peace and Development and the Myanmar Chinese Cooperation and Communication Centre, Secretary Mr. Xu Jian Guo donated stationeries, LED bulbs, sports equipment and accessories worth K10 million for Swe Myo Pauk Phaw magazine for Practising Middle School (Yankin) in Yangon through officials.

As the year 2024 is set as the China-ASEAN cultural exchange year, the China-Myanmar cooperation especially aims for the benefits of the Myanmar people and exchange of education and culture between the two countries and people, and enhancement of stability and improvement of bilateral relations between two countries.
