The Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than attended the 13th Industrial Exhibition organized in Yekaterinburg of the Russian Federation on 12 July and arrived back Myanmar on 15 July.
In the Yekaterinburg of the Russian Federation, the Myanmar Delegation viewed the products and machineries displayed by the companies; participated in a panel discussion under the theme of “Sustainable Manufacturing Strategies of Renewal” and made a discussion about “Building Economic Relations and Protecting your Own Manufacture”; attended the dinner hosted by Sverdlovsk Region Governor, together with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, ministers from foreign countries and international diplomats.
Then they made sideline discussion with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, visited geological gallery of Ural State Mining University, Museum complex of military and civil equipment of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical company and stone-crafting House by Antonov in Yekaterinburg. They also met Russian Minister of International Economic Relations of Sverdlovsk Region Mr. Byechis Laffarin-led regional administration and held talks about industrial development of Myanmar, supply of technical and training assistance for the development of iron and steel sector, extraction of iron ore and development of MSME, it is reported.
