The Core Working Group of Rakhine State Stability, Peace and Development Work Coordination Committee held its coordination meeting at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Border Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw on 12 July.
The meeting was attended by Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Union Minister for Border Affairs, in his capacity as the Chairperson of the Rakhine State Stability, Peace and Development Work Coordination Committee; deputy chairpersons U Ko Ko Hlaing Union Minister for International Cooperation and Dr. Thet Thet Khine, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement; committee members deputy ministers and officials.
During the meeting, the committee chairperson discussed matters related to the resumption of repatriation of displaced persons from Rakhine State who want to return to their native in accordance with bilateral coordination as soon as possible, and relocation processes to be carried out by the work committees. Then, the officials from work committees presented the current work plans and requirements, it is reported.
