PDF Terrorists Launch Drone Attacks and Improvised Mortar Attack on Villages, Injuring Innocent Civilians

Armed insurgents and PDF terrorists who support terrorism in states and regions have been committing acts of terrorism such as shelling, launching improvised mortar attacks as well as drone attacks on non-military targets of roads and bridges used for public purpose, wards, villages, and setting fire on residential houses. The acts of terrorism committed by terrorists are as follows:

• On 19 December, PDF terrorists launched drone attacks on Thahtay Kone Village in Kyaukdaga Township of Bago Region, killing two innocent women and injuring a two-year-old child.
• On 21 December, PDF terrorists burnt down the office of the Veterans Association in Launglon township of Tanintharyi Region. Following their retreat from the scene, they fired improvised mortars at Launglon township, taking position at a distance of 1,100 meters to the southeast of Launglon township. The mortar shells exploded on the labor barracks of the construction near Aung Chan Thar Pagoda. As a result of the explosion, one innocent man and another woman living in the labor barracks were killed and eight people, including four innocent children, were injured.
• On 22 December, PDF terrorists riding a motorcycle arrived at football field of Yun Daling Kone village of Bilin township of Mon state where Ko Na Win Pagoda ceremony was holding. They threw a hand-grenade at the football field, taking position at a distance of 50 meters to the south of the football field. During the attack, one innocent civilian was killed while other four got injured.

The victims in the above-mentioned incident were receiving medical treatment at respective General Hospital and security forces are taking necessary security measures to take legal actions against the terrorists and ensure peace as well as tranquility in the area, it is reported.
